In Chicken Pox: Scrambled Eggs, the player controls a chicken as he drives around his farm gathering up eggs. To do this, the player uses their finger to draw a sort of connect-the-dot style path from one egg to the next. The player earns stars based on how well they follow the path, how fast they follow the path, and whether or not they hit any of the obstacles (such as cows). The player also finds three somewhat hidden blue eggs in each level. If the player finds these eggs, they receive golden eggs, and can buy things like different hats for the chicken.

Chicken Pox: Scrambled Eggs has in-app ads and purchases. The ESRB rated this game E for Everyone and LW4K stands by this rating.

Chicken Pox: Scrambled Eggs helps kids practice and improve the following skills:

Chicken Pox: Scrambled EggsSelf-Control

Managing our actions, feelings, and behaviors.

This game encourages the player to move quickly in order to gain the most stars. But the player also has to find hidden eggs. This combination of move fast, but don't miss the eggs, means that the player gets lots of chances to practice some self-control thinking skills. First of all, they need to be thinking about the future. How fast do they need to go to get stars, what path do they need to take to avoid obstacles, and do they have enough fuel to finish? They also, however, need to be looking for the eggs. That means that the player also needs to practice impulse control. If they just go blazing through the levels and forget about watching for the eggs, the player will miss the eggs. And if the player misses the eggs, they will be unable to buy costume upgrades and such.

Working Memory

Recalling and retaining information in our minds while working.

Chicken Pox: Scrambled Eggs is also a good game for practicing following directions and improving forgetfulness. To follow the directions, the player must remember to follow the egg path, in order. They must also remember the other goals: gathering eggs, conserving fuel, and avoiding obstacles. If they don't do both these things, they will not receive as many stars as possible, or as many golden eggs. This will slow their progress and keep them from buying new accessories.
