Word Search, as the name would suggest, is a puzzle game where players connect letters vertically, horizontally, diagonally in order to form words. It’s really just a mobile version of any traditional word search. Word Search is portable, user-friendly, and the touch screen makes connecting letters a simple, one swipe process. There are three different levels of difficulty: easy, medium, and hard. The size of the grid increases with each difficulty level, leaving players with more letters to sift through when trying to find words. Word Search also has a number of free categories ranging from dog breeds to SAT vocabulary. There are additional categories that can be unlocked by purchasing the premium, paid version. However, for the casual Word Search player the free version should suffice. There is no inappropriate content in Word Search. We recommend the game for children over the age of 6.

If players get stuck, it's crucial that they move on to another word. Players are urged to find something unique about each word. For example: consecutive "o's," an "x" or "z," or any other striking feature of the word. If players search for these unique parts of the word, it will be much easier to find on the grid. Keying in to specific letters makes for a much more focused effort and keeps players from giving up unnecessarily. And a more focused effort will help players develop an improved
While it's true that players can finish the word search at their own pace, it does not diminish the effect of the timer. The clock ticks away seconds at the bottom right hand corner of the screen, helping players keep the sense a competitive set of urgency throughout play. Additionally, Word Search keeps track of players best times for each category and level of difficulty. Players can use the clock to compete against their own times or against the best times of friends or family. It's important for players to try and improve their times in an effort to become a better word searcher and ultimately an individual that begins to thrive under pressure.
