In this game, players hold the Wii Remote like a golf cub, pointing it downward and swinging forward to hit the ball. The harder they swing the remote, the further the ball will go. Players can choose different clubs for different distances, and can pivot to adjust their aim, paying close attention to wind direction and the slope of the ground. There is no offensive or inappropriate content and the controls are easy and intuitive, making the game suitable for players ages 6 and up.

This Game is Good for Kids Who Need Help With:

Planning:

Developing a systematic approach for setting and achieving goals.

This game helps kids practice their Planning skills by having them take into consideration several factors and hazards before they swing. There are sand traps and water hazards to avoid, so players need to adjust the angle of their shot before swinging. They also need to check which way the wind is blowing as well as the slope of the ground. There are different clubs to choose from, too, so players need to make sure that they are using the right club for the shot.

Focus

Maintaining attention and effort during tasks seeing them through.

Players need to pay close attention to the direction of the wind, the curve of the ground and the power of their swing to ensure a successful shot. If they disregard the power meter and speed of their swing, they may end up hitting into hazards like water and sandpits. By keeping an eye on the map and watching things like wind speed, they can figure out which club suits the situation best and have a better chance of sinking the ball.
