Wii Sports: Bowling simulates real-life bowling by using simple motion controls — bowling the ball is as easy as flicking your wrist. Players can adjust the speed of their throws by swinging the remote faster, and can add spin to the ball by twisting their wrist as they throw. Players can even create a Mii in their own liking to use while playing. The game features no violence or inappropriate content and a tutorial that teaches the simple, intuitive controls. Since it is easy to learn and play Wii Sports: Bowling is recommended to players ages 5 and up.

This Game is Good for Kids Who Need Help With:

Self-Control

Managing our actions, feelings and behaviors.

In Wii Sports: Bowling, players must carefully control their movements to avoid adding too much spin to the ball. If they find the ball veering in a certain direction, they need to tweak their movements and adjusting their technique slightly to ensure they do not keep throwing similarly. Furthermore, picking up spare requires precise control, tasking the player with spinning their ball at certain angles or gently throwing the ball. If they don't inhibit the urge to just hurl the ball down the middle each time, they wont find much success.

Planning

Developing a systematic approach for setting and achieving goals

Before tossing the ball down the lane, players can adjust the angle and direction of their throw, allowing them to tweak where they will send the ball. Players can pivot left and right and move side-to side, allowing them to precisely control where the direction in which in which they aim. Players that fail to utilize these feature and do not plan out their shot well will likely miss the remaining pins needed for a spare, or worse, get a gutter ball.
