Penguin Isle is a simulation game where the player controls an island of cute penguins. The player starts with one type of penguin that they can breed and can continue adding different breeds as they move through the game.

Hatching and maintaining the penguins on your island allows you to earn coins and hearts, which can be used to expand your island’s attractions, craft items, raise new types of arctic animals, and upgrade your current facilities.

Certain penguins who operate different facilities can also be leveled up by spending coins, which in turn earns you more resources to purchase more items or add more facilities to your island.

A treasure chest on the island can be opened to see items that the penguins have located for you; these can then be sold or used to craft additional items.

Penguin Isle is a free-to-play game but in-app purchases are available. The game is currently available for Android and iOS.

Penguin Isle helps kids practice and improve the following skills:

Self Control:  Managing our actions, feelings and behaviors.

Penguin Isle is designed to be a simple and relaxing game, which a player can use as a way to manage anxiety or calm down when they are stressed out. The game features soft colors and gentle music in addition to the simplistic gameplay. The game is designed this way to help the player focus on simple activities and regulate their emotions. For players who are stressed or struggle with managing their emotions, they can try to play this game when they feel like they need to take a break. The game is not meant for long play sessions, so it is perfect for taking a moment to center and enjoy a short break.

Planning: Developing a systematic approach for setting and achieving goals.

The resources that you acquire in Penguin Isle are earned through the addition of penguins, resources, and decorations. You also need these resources to add more features to your island. This requires some planning and prioritization because you cannot purchase everything all at once and need to save up for certain purchases. Players who struggle with planning may find that they are always running low on resources and unable to unlock the items they want the most. These players should try looking at all the options available before they make any purchases and prioritize what they want to add to their island. If they want to create more island features, they should focus all of their resources on this. If they want to add more animals to their island, they should focus all of their resources towards that goal. In this way, the player can practice planning and focus on which goals are most important to them in the game.
