Empire: Four Kingdoms is a medieval strategy game that transports the player into the old time of castles, motes, tower defenses, and more. He must take on many jobs: construction manager, tax collector, and resource builder, to name a few. Arguably the most important job is the recruitment and training of soldiers to not only defend the kingdom but also to attack neighboring ones. He may even decide to compete with other players like himself, attempting to pillage their kingdoms for any available resources or loot. On the other hand, he may also try forming alliances with other players. The goal in Empire: Four Kingdoms is to create and manage a flourishing kingdom that is protected by an impregnable fortress. This game does not contain any graphic violence or other inappropriate content, but due to the complexity of the game, it is recommended for players seven and up.

Arranging and coordinating materials and activities in order to complete a task.
When placing buildings within a limited space, Organization skills can help guide the best placement so that land is not wasted and all available space can be used. A poor layout can effectively block off areas of land that are too small for any other buildings to fit there, restricting the growth of the Kingdom. Additionally, the player must logically distribute his units so that all areas of the Castle are protected, leaving no vulnerable areas. Failure to intelligently distribute buildings and military units will hamper the success of the Kingdom and allow other kingdoms to successfully attack and loot yours.
Getting started and then maintaining attention and effort to tasks.
It is not difficult for the player to become a little overwhelmed at the many different tasks that must be attended to in order for the kingdom to remain productive and operate in a smooth fashion. For example, he must always maintain the food supply so that his people remain happy and productive. Also, as he increases his population, he must take steps to increase public order, such as building decorative items or beefing up military protection. With a little practice in the game, he can effectively balance these requirements through use of Focus skills. Using these skills, he will learn to spend just the right amount of time on one task, and then intelligently decide what needs to be done next. In essence, Focus skills are used to create equilibrium between all responsibilities within the kingdom. Without them, the whole kingdom can easily fall apart.
