In Crazy Snowboard, players have to race towards the finish line in various downhill tracks, while performing crazy stunts and tricks along the way. Tilting the mobile device left and right steers the snowboarders, while touching different on screen icons cause them to spin, jump and perform tricks. Some courses have players jumping off ramps, passing through slalom gates or collecting items scattered across the track. The game also features a freestyle mode which lets players endlessly practice their tricks before taking on a mission course. Crazy Snowboard contains no offensive content and is easy to learn and play, which makes it suitable for players ages 6 and up.

THIS GAME IS GOOD FOR KIDS WHO NEED HELP WITH:

Focus

Getting started and then maintaining attention and effort to tasks.

Crazy Snowboards tasks players with concentrating on multiple factors at once, as players must navigate the twists and turns of courses, time jumps off of ramps, stick landings, perform tricks and avoid crashing. Doing so requires concentrating simultaneously on multiple facets of the game over the entire run of the course. Losing track of just one of these factors can cause players to crash, miss a slalom gate or pass by items that must be collected. Players who are able to remain focused and alert throughout the entire length of the course will have a much better chance of finishing the race in good time, earning a high score and avoiding costly crashes.

Working Memory

Recalling and retaining information in her mind while working.

While playing Crazy Snowboard, players need to keep various pieces of information in mind as they race down the track. While early courses in the game are easier and can likely be completed in a single run, the more challenging missions that become unlocked will probably take players several attempts to beat. Course memorization plays a major role in success, as players need to recall the locations of items, slalom gate positions, upcoming ramps as they race. By learning the twists and turns of a course, players can improve their time and score by using memorized information as they zoom down the track.
