Grumpy Cat’s Worst Game Ever is a game that makes Grumpy Cat the star in a large variety of mini-games. Mini-games are timed and cover everything from cooking Grumpy Cat a pizza, to spotting the difference in a picture, to catching falling food in a shopping cart. The more mini-games the player completes in a row, the faster the timer counts down. They player also earns coins and points for every successfully completed mini-game. After they have earned a certain number of points, the player gets a bonus gift box of coins. They spend the coins in a vending machine where they unlock stickers for in-game Grumpy Cat scenes or iMessage.

As a special note: because this app is Grumpy Cat themed, all the things that normally say “great game” or “here’s an awesome present for you” are now grumpy. Presents, for example, are “awful” and Hollywood is now Grumpywood.

There are ads and in-app purchases. The app got an E for Everyone rating and LW4K stands by this rating.

Grumpy Cat's Worst Game Ever helps kids practice and improve the following skills:

Time ManagementGrumpy Cat's Worst Game Ever

Being efficient and aware of our time and effort.

All of the mini-games in Grumpy Cat's Worst Game Ever are short and timed. The more mini-games a player completes in a row, the faster the timer counts down. This makes it a great game for practicing the cognitive skills of time management. The player has to move quickly and always be aware of the timer. They also have to notice when the game announces "faster" and the timer begins speeding up. If the player isn't always keeping pace with the timer, they will use up their hearts and fail to earn coins and stickers.

Working Memory

Recalling and retaining information in our minds while working.

The mini-games in Grumpy Cat's Worst Game Ever come up in a random order. That means that the player doesn't know what is going to happen or what they need to do until the game tells them just before the timer starts. This provides the perfect opportunity to practice following directions. The player has to pay attention to what Grumpy Cat tells them to do, process what the instructions mean, and then follow them. If they don't, the player will fail the mini-game and lose a heart. They will also miss out on coins and presents and will find it harder to earn stickers.
