Players must think critically about where they place their units on the map. First, it is important to ensure no enemy units make their way into the tower. Each time they do, players will lose points. The best way to keep enemies from entering is to guard the tower first. Soon enemies will come in hoards, and users will to try and split them up by setting up their soldiers at different points of the map. Players should know that certain units do not match up well against others. For example, anti aircraft troops will not affect tanks of ground units. Similarly, riflemen will have little effect of tanks. Players need to think carefully about the units they choose to recruit because creating the right matchup is important. Icons from the corners of the map indicate the type of enemies that will invade in the next wave. Players can then prepare for them by recruiting the best units to fend them off, or allotting their funds so they can upgrade units.

Organization

Arranging and coordinating materials in order to complete a task.

One of the most difficult things about Toy Defense 2 is maintaining enough currency to purchase new units. Players must be able the manage what limited game currency they start with so that they can produce and upgrade units. When enemies are eliminated, players will collect some money -- usually enough to provide them with enough defense to withstand the next attack. Once users have figured out how to organize their funds in a way that allows them secure defense, they must understand where to place each unit. Arranging units onscreen does not follow a pattern each time. The order is completely dependant on the amount of type of enemy troops that are invading. One thing players should keep in mind is not to clutter their defensive units around their castle. Instead, carefully spreading out a variety of artillery, gunmen, and anti aircraft units will allow for a more even distribution. It might be a good idea to save funds to upgrade the gunmen. Once upgraded, players can buy a powerup which slows enemy movement. These units should then be placed at the beginning, middle, and end of each map to maximize their exposure.

Time Management

Since players must defeat foes before they overwhelm their defensive lines, time is of the essence. Players must balance their efforts strategically across the battlefield, taking time to beef up vulnerable areas and buy their defensive units more time. Understanding the speed in which the enemy advance and which types of attacks work best against each unit will help players make the most of their resources and time on the battlefield.
