In Civilizations Wars, players command tribal troops in an effort to capture structures across the map, battling opposing forces for control of the area. Some buildings produce troops, others attack enemies, while some produce crystals that allow players to cast powerful spells. Once captured, buildings need to be defended, as leaving them vacant allows enemies to re-capture the structure. The game is relatively easy to learn and play, with mild cartoon violence and a text-based tutorial. Due to these factors, the game is recommended to players ages 7 and up.
Arranging and coordinating materials and activities in order to complete a task.
In Civilizations Wars, the player has many resources to spend on accomplishing one main goal: capturing all of the buildings before the enemy does. In order to do this, players need to organize their resources and mobilize troops accordingly. For example, “crystals” are required to cast spells and are gained from “crystal nodes” on the map. If troops occupy a crystal node, it produces crystals at a faster rate. Thus, if the player feels like casting a lot of spells, then he needs to focus his troops on occupying crystal nodes rather than attacking. However, he eventually needs to send troops out to capture enemy towers, and if the player does not effectively organize and manage his resources, then he will leave many structures unprotected and vulnerable to an enemy attack. This will make it difficult for the player to gain ground and win.
Developing a systematic approach for setting and achieving goals.
Success in Civilizations Wars depends greatly on how players choose to use their resources. For example, each building on the map can hold a certain number of troops, depending on its size. In order to win control of an enemy or neutral structure, players move armies from their own buildings. Buildings slowly regenerate troops lost through movement or attack, but they are more vulnerable to new attacks while this happens. Players who can move their troops carefully across the map are more likely to capture vulnerable buildings and defeat the enemy forces.
