Cooking Mama Let’s Cook Puzzle is a matching puzzle game where the player is combining the same ingredients together to cook food for hungry customers. The player receives a set of objectives at the beginning of the round and needs to accomplish them to clear the level. At the beginning of the level, a timer starts and the player needs to accomplish the goals within the time frame to earn a high score. Clicking on one set of three or more ingredients will combine them together for points. Combining a higher number of the same ingredient can lead to even more points and even special “spices” that can increase your overall score.
Completing objectives in each round will earn the player coins which can be spent in the game. Coins can purchase you new Foo-don but these are very expensive, meaning the player needs to complete as many quests as possible if they want to add new special ingredients.
As the player progresses with the game, they can level up their ingredients, called Foo-don, open new shops, and unlock new Food-don ingredients. Occasionally special characters from other Cooking Mama games may appear with additional quests for you to complete!
Cooking Mama Let’s Cook Puzzle is available on iOS. It is free to play but some features may require in-app purchases.
Time Management: Working under pressure.
At the beginning of each round, you receive 60 seconds on the clock. You need to complete all of your objectives before the timer expires. This means that the player needs to be able to work under pressure and focus on moving quickly and without making unnecessary mistakes or combinations of food items. For players who struggle with time management, this game can be a fun way to practice working within a time limit to achieve a specific goal.
Working Memory: Recalling and retaining information in our minds while working.
In order to get the highest scores in each puzzle, the player needs to remember what combinations trigger larger events within the puzzle. For example, players need to remember how many pieces of the same food need to be combined before a much larger food is formed. The player also needs to remember how to use the seasoning puzzle parts in order to help them elevate their score. This game is a great way to practice these skills in short bursts because each puzzle is only 60 seconds long and can be played multiple times.
