Time Management: Being efficient and aware of our use of time and effort.  

Idle games are a good way to teach children about time management skills, especially the use of time and effort and prioritizing some tasks over others. Because idle games can continue without the player being constantly engaged, the player can multitask, not spending too much time staring at the screen when not actively engaged by digging or leveling up. 

Planning: Developing a systematic approach for setting and achieving goals.

In order to successfully build a museum up from nothing, the player needs to use their planning skills wisely. They will need to use the money they have to fund digs, increase their museum space, and level up their paleontologists. Because the player starts with a small amount of money, they will need to decide which of these things is more important and then plan what they will do to increase the amount of money they earn from patrons. As they earn more money, players will need to plan out what type of digs they want to go on, as some are more strenuous than others and cost much more money. For players who struggle with planning, this type of game can be a low-stakes way to learn about money management planning and prioritization of tasks.
