Bird BnB is a cozy idle game where you play a bird who runs a Bird Bed and Breakfast with her grandmother. After moving back home with her marketing degree, Pepper decides to take the slightly rundown tree where her grandfather used to live and make it an inviting place once again for birds of all kinds. The player needs to help Pepper and her grandmother Mango by managing all the aspects of the BnB, including feeding the guests, giving them wakeup calls, cleaning their nests, and checking them out at the end of their stay.
The bird guests will give you coins and unlock other items and birds for you to invite to your BnB. Coins can be used to purchase everything from building materials to seeds to decorations for the tree and its surrounding area. Some birds are very simple in their needs for the BnB but rarer birds want a variety of items, meaning the player needs to constantly advertise and craft items to have available for future guests. Items such as bird baths and other amenities can be crafted and added to the tree for an extra posh experience for your guests.
Bird BnB is free to play but features in-app purchases. It is available now on iOS and Android.
Planning: Developing a systematic approach for setting and achieving goals.
The player earns coins after the bird guests leave the BnB. The amount they earn is linked to the quality of the experience each bird receives as a guest. The currency you earn is used to purchase everything from upgrades to seeds to accessories for the tree. Because this is a finite resource, the player needs to have a plan and decide what things are essential to have and what items they need to save up for. For players who struggle with planning, they may find themselves using up all of their resources and then needing to wait a longer amount of time to do the upgrades that were needed to bring rarer birds to the tree. These players should look at all possible choices before purchasing anything and weigh their potential benefits before deciding.
Time Management: Being efficient and aware of our use of time and effort.
All of the actions taken by your bird guests are timed. This means that if an African Grey Parrot is eating, it will take him a certain amount of time before he is ready to move on to the next activity. The player needs to use their time management skills to balance out all of the birds and their actions to make sure they are providing everything the birds need when they want it. Time Management also helps the player determine how long certain birds will be using amenities such as bird baths because these are limited and multiple birds might want to use them at the same time. Players who struggle with time management may lose track of what the bird guests want or what facilities they are using and how many other birds are waiting in line.
