Organization

Arranging and coordinating materials in order to complete a task.

The best way to beat this game, in most levels, is by taking advantage of the bonuses for making a square. This means that the player has to be able to use their organization skills. They must be able to see which dots are close to making a square and which dots need removed to complete it. It’s also important to keep in mind which goals still need completed, so the player isn’t wasting moves trying to make squares in a color they don’t need. Keeping their thoughts and game board organized this way will give them the best chance to beat the level before they run out of moves.

Planning

Developing a systematic approach for setting and achieving goals.

The second part of being successful at this game is to use planning skills. Every level presents a unique problem for the player to solve. If the level asks for the player to get five butterflies and ten balloons, which should the player focus on first? Is it better to  clear the ice or take care of the ten pink dots first? Thinking about this and making both a long-term (whole level) plan and a short-term (the next one or two moves) plan will help the player get the most stars each level.
