In Tofu Girl, the player is a miniature girl who jumps on top of blocks of tofu. The tofu is stacked higher and higher and the player continues to jump until they miss and are knocked down from the stack. The player must time their jumps accurately; the blocks of tofu can come from either side of the screen and the speed with which they are placed changes the higher the girl jumps. Different options, like Gravity mode can also enhance the difficulty of the game by adding extra restrictions to how well the player lands on each block of tofu.

Presents can be earned while jumping, such as the rocket pack which can skyrocket you to higher levels of the tower and earn you more points. Coins can be earned for successful jumps, which can then be used to purchase new outfits, new types of jumping materials (cake, blocks, etc.) and pets that will jump with you. Pets offer special bonuses that can help you earn more coins and presents.

An ad-free option is available and recommended for younger players as ad content is unpredictable and may not be age appropriate.

Tofu Girl  helps kids practice and improve the following skills:

Focus:Getting started and then maintaining attention and effort to tasks.

Players who need extra help with focusing may find that Tofu Girl is a good way for them to practice this skill. The player must concentrate on what direction the blocks of tofu are coming from and how quickly they are coming. If they do not focus, the player will find that they are not able to get through many blocks before they are knocked from the tower. Players who struggle with focus can set small goals (ex: jump onto 10 blocks of tofu) for themselves and work their way up to unlimited play.

Flexibility: Adapting and adjusting to changing conditions and expectations.

As the player jumps onto blocks of tofu, the speed and frequency with which they will be added increases in complexity. The player needs to adjust the timing of their jumping to avoid being knocked off the tower. Players who struggle with flexibility might find that they are unable to get very high on the tofu tower without practice. Setting a small goal and working towards a higher tower is a way to strengthen the player’s ability to adapt to the changing circumstances of the game.
