In Super Stacker 2, players are given a certain number of shapes that they must use to build towers, stacking the shapes on top of each other without letting the entire structure fall over. Creating stable towers is easy at first, but soon the game introduces more challenging combinations of shapes, tasking players with using conventional shapes in unconventional ways. As a puzzle game, Super Stacker 2 contains no inappropriate or violent content, and due to the simple controls and easy-to-learn mechanics, the game is recommended for players ages 5 and up.
Developing a systematic approach for setting and achieving goals.
In Super Stacker 2, players need to use their Planning skills to think ahead and develop a strategy before stacking together different shapes into a tower. When starting, players can see all of the shapes that must be used, granting them the opportunity to plan out the best way to combine them together into a solid structure. Haphazardly placing shapes without proper forethought will result in an unstable base, making it harder for players to continue arranging the shapes safely. Coming up with a plan before acting in the game is very important, as players cannot remove a shape once it has been placed. If the tower topples over, the level ends.
Should they desire, players are also given the freedom to create their own levels with the built-in level editor. To do this, players need to use their Planning skills as well, mapping out the layout of the level and playing their creation to test it out and make any necessary adjustments or imporvements.
Managing our actions, feelings and behaviors.
Even with a good plan and a sound notion of how and where to stack each shape, it only takes one misplaced piece to ruin a tower. Therefore, great care must be taken while moving a piece into place. Players cannot stack the shapes too quickly, as they require meticulous placement. Balance is critical, so putting a shape down even slightly too far to the left or right can mean game over. It's very easy to move the shapes quickly -- especially when you know where they need to go -- but if players rush even one of their shapes into placement, all of their previous efforts could be wasted. Players must stop to remind themselves to work slowly and diligently. This will save time, effort, and frustration and help to maximize the benefits Super Stacker 2 has to offer players.
