Run Sheldon! revamps the classic “Tortoise and the Hare” story for an action-packed, side-scroller running game that pits players against a bitter bunch of rabbits who want their race trophy back. Players control Sheldon the tortoise who must escape the rabbits by jumping over terrain obstacles and angry hares, using power-ups, and collecting valuable coins. Completing objectives and running long distances rewards players with experience toward leveling up, as well as bonus coins to unlock additional bonuses and tools to give Sheldon and advantage over his adversaries. Tapping the screen a single time allows players to jump over obstacles and holding a tap gives Sheldon an extra powerful jump for taking on bigger challenges. Power-ups can be purchased using coins or utilized during a run by jumping through them as they appear ahead of Sheldon. This game contains no inappropriate content for young players and is recommended for anyone ages 4 and up.

THIS GAME IS GOOD FOR KIDS WHO NEED HELP WITH:

Flexibility

Adapting and adjusting to changing conditions and expectations.

Run Sheldon 2Run Sheldon! is a fast paced, continuous running game that requires players to take on obstacles and enemies quickly and efficiently as they appear from off-screen. With constantly changing terrain, enemies who increase in difficulty, and sporadic power-ups and other helpful tools, Run Sheldon! is constantly changing and players must learn to be flexible and adapt to new challenges. Failing to learn on the fly, change strategies, or try new tactics when old ones fail will result in lower average scores and coin collection than players who are able to quickly and creatively manufacture new strategies to meet changing demands.

Focus

Getting started and then maintaining attention and effort to tasks.

Sheldon is in a hurry to get away from the bitter, sore-loser hares and won't stop for anything. Because of the pace at which terrain and enemies approach Sheldon, players must exercise vigilance and focus throughout each run. The difficulty of the enemies and terrain also increase in difficulty as players progress further into each run. Because players are tasked with running Sheldon as far as possible, the level and length of their focus directly correlates with both the distance they were able to successfully run and the number of coins collected. Players who lose focus during runs will often find they are unable to achieve higher scores or collect increasing numbers of coins. Players must exercise good Focus from the beginning of races until the end.
