Monster Hunter is a memory game where you flip tiles over to catch different types of monsters. The game begins with four tiles and increases in number as you clear each level. Try to clear as many levels as you can without losing your five health hearts. Helpful items such as hearts and flashlights can be found on the tiles as well.  As there is very little reading involved in this game, it is perfect for children 4 and up.

Monster Hunt  helps kids practice and improve the following skills:

Working Memory: Recalling and retaining information in our minds while working.

Memory Games are perfect for strengthening our working memory skills. In the game Monster Hunt, you are tasked with finding several monsters hiding on a board of blank tiles. You need to remember where each monster in the game is located or you will lose your health and be sent to the previous level.  This requires you to keep multiple pieces of information in your head at the same time. The game starts off with just four cards and works its way up so even students struggling with this skill can practice at a comfortable pace.

Focus: Getting started and then maintaining attention and effort to tasks.

The singular goal in Monster Hunt is to catch the monsters without clicking on a blank tile. This helps students practice their focusing skills, as there is one task for them to complete without any additional information being provided. If students are not able to focus and find all of the monsters that are hidden behind the blank tiles, they will lose their health and be sent back to the previous level.
