Jigsaw Puzzles Clash is an app that gives the player the chance to do jigsaw puzzles in both a solo mode and a competitive mode. The solo mode is a typical puzzle mode. The player selects a picture and the number of pieces they want for the puzzle. The more pieces they select the greater the reward the player earns. The player uses rewards to purchase more puzzle pictures.
Jigsaw Puzzle Clash has in-game ads and purchases available. The ESRB rated it E for Everyone. LW4K stands by this rating.
Jigsaw Puzzles Clash helps kids practice and improve the following skills:
Getting started and then maintaining attention and effort to tasks.
As with putting together any puzzle, the player of Jigsaw Puzzles Clash has to be able to focus on the puzzle pieces. They must pay attention to details of both the shape and the colors on the puzzle piece. In multiplayer mode, they also need to be able to focus on what the other player is doing, switching their focus between pieces left to play and points being earned. If they are not ignoring internal and external distractions, they will take longer to finish the puzzle. In multiplayer mode this can cost the player the game.
Arranging and coordinating materials in order to complete a task.
All puzzles require the player to organize both their thoughts and their pieces. Players do this by playing all the edge pieces first or by looking for pieces with a similar color. In multiplayer mode, organizational skills are even more important. The added pressure of a competitor racing to “steal” pieces and place them before you can makes it easier to lose track of what you are doing. If the player does not stay organized and in control of their thoughts and which pieces they want to place next, they will lose the game.
