Jelly Splash is a simple, yet captivating puzzle game that offers more than 100 levels of brain-teasing fun. The general purpose is to connect like-colored lines of jellies to earn points, create Super Jellies, and destroy obstacles. Longer lines mean chain reactions, bigger point bonuses, and ultimately fewer moves. It’s also the only way to create powerful Super Jellies, so keeping an eye out for groups of the same color is always a good idea. There aren’t any time limits, but be sure to pay attention to the number of remaining moves so you don’t run out too soon! Don’t forget to collect coins to buy in-game boosts and extra lives. The game is easy to play and doesn’t require any reading skills to play, which makes it great for players as young as 5 years old. Parents should be aware that while the game is free, in-app purchases are available, so monitoring gameplay is recommended.

Developing a systematic approach for setting and achieving goals.
Certain factors in the game make the use of Planning skills essential to making any progress. The player not only has a limited number of lives to attempt levels overall, but also a limited number of moves within a level. Lives are lost if a level is failed, which helps drive the player to do better if he wants to play for longer periods at a time. Randomized moves in a level wastes said moves, leads to more losses than wins, and ultimately more quickly depreciates the number of lives remaining (which take half an hour to renew, each). He may be eager to make any and all moves that first catch his eye, but he will find that he makes smarter use of his time and resources when he takes a moment to stop and examine the board before connecting any jellies. Thinking a few steps ahead is the best way to create chains and Super Jellies, which will ultimately amass more points.
Getting started and then maintaining attention and effort to tasks.
There are a handful of things the player must keep an eye on while playing the game. This includes: the number of allotted and remaining moves, any point requirements, obstacles in the way of certain tasks, any dark slime, and more. In order to win, the player has to effectively multi-task these elements and keep a strong concentration on them. Losing sight of one thing, especially the number of remaining moves, can transform a near-success into an avoidable failure. Not to mention that such carelessness wastes a life as well as time. In Jelly Splash, it's pretty easy to forget a goal or some of the factors mentioned above when distracted. In-game distractions can happen when the player gets excited and sees an opportunity to create a long line (and thus a Super Jelly!), but doing so in that particular instance might not actually get him any closer to finishing the level. For example, if the goal is to clear all the dark slime, he's wasting a move (and special power) by using a Super Jelly if it doesn't overlap any of the dark slime spaces. Remaining focused on each levels' tasks while splitting attention across various in-game factors helps the player to create better plans that maximum the progress in each move -- a recipe for success in Jelly Splash.
