Quire is a task management app where a student or a group can create projects, assign tasks and keep track of due dates. Multiple people can be placed on the same project and have individualized tasks within that project. Projects can be specified with tags and individuals can add attachments to each task.

Because of the amount of reading and writing involved in using this app, younger students might need parental assistance.

Quire helps kids practice and improve the following skills:

Organization: Arranging and coordinating materials in order to complete a task.

This app allows students and families to create task and project lists and assign them to individuals or whole groups. This allows students to practice their organizational skills because all tasks can be kept in one location. For students who are struggling to keep organized, starting with a few added tasks and small-item lists can help them strengthen this skill as they build up to adding and keeping track of more tasks and responsibilities.

Planning: Developing a systematic approach for setting and achieving goals.

Students can work on their planning skills by looking at their task lists on the Quire app. They are able to see due dates and look at any necessary attachments, allowing them to see what is necessary for them to do to complete their tasks on time. For students who struggle with Planning, this app can be especially helpful if multiple people are on their shared account. They can then see good planning being modeled by several other people as well as practicing their own skills.
