Notebook—Take Notes, Sync is Zoho’s answer to the note taking and organization genre. It has a tutorial “note” when you download the app. However, it is easy enough to use that you don’t have to read it if you don’t want to. They offer the typical note taking—both text and audio—as well as pen writing/sketching. The user can select a graphic notebook cover for each of their notebooks, colors for text and different categories of notes, and also include external files such as PDFs or spreadsheets.
The ESRB rated Notebook—Take Notes, Sync E for Everyone and LW4K stands by this rating.
Notebook—Take Notes, Sync helps kids practice and improve the following skills:
Arranging and coordinating materials in order to complete a task.
The simple act of trying to use this app requires the user to think about organization. How do they want to categorize their tasks? Do they want separate notebooks for each day or the week, activity, project, or subject? Do they want to employ color coding? Whatever their choices are, they will be using their organizational skills, making them stronger. The more they practice and the more ways they try to organize, the stronger their skills will become.
Developing a systematic approach for setting and achieving goals.
This app also uses planning skills—both long-term and short-term planning, depending on how big a project the user is working on. In order to take notes and make a to-do list, for example, the user needs to be able to plan out all the steps they have to take for that project. They can also use planning skills by considering what things are most important, what dates things need done by, and what order to do them in.
