Anki Notes is a flashcard app where students create notecards that they can use as resource cards for a research paper or studying for a test or quiz. Students can set the level of difficulty of the content while going through their flashcards and the app will remind them to study again in varying time increments. The harder the content, the more often Anki Notes will remind you to study, while the easier cards will come up less frequently.
The difficulty function of the app is free but in order to perform most of the functions, such as adding photos or adding grouping tags to the flashcards, requires a subscription to the Anki Notes service.
The app works best with students who are comfortable reading and writing on their own. Otherwise, parental assistance will be required.
Organization: Organizing one’s ideas.
The Anki Notes app allows students to create personalized flashcards to help them study for various classes. Students are able to keep all of their flashcards for all classes in this app. Students can keep organized with all of their classes without having to worry about losing flashcards. Timer reminders can also help students’ study schedules stay organized.
Planning: Planning for school.
Anki Notes has a reminder function so that students can make a plan to study for each of their classes. Students can set the level of difficulty they had answering each flashcard and Anki notes will then send them a reminder to study those cards based on the level of difficulty they selected. This allows students to plan for when they are going to study again.
