Taking place six years after the original game, N.O.V.A. 2 sees the return of protagonist Kal Wardin, who must fight back the Voltarites, an alien force with evil plans for mankind. Players can take on the single-player mode of this first-person shooter, which has them controlling Kal with the touch screen, sliding their fingers to aim, shoot and throw grenades. Or, they can jump into multiplayer mode, allowing them to go online and fight against other players for supremacy in the games competitive multiplayer modes. Due to the moderate violence and mature content, N.O.V.A. 2 is only recommended to players 13 and up.
Adapting and adjusting to changing conditions and expectations.
N.O.V.A. 2 is filled with a variety of weapons, all of which are useful in different situations. Pistols, for example, are better for close-range combat while others, like sniper rifles, work better when enemies remain at long range. The game also features a wide variety of enemy types, from footsoldiers and robots to carnivorous plants. Each moves and acts differently, with some being weak and fast and others strong and slow. In order to win, players must be able to fight enemies using many different strategies.
Recalling and retaining information in our minds while working.
In order to complete the game, players must recall which strategies work best for each situation. If players want to act quickly and avoid taking damage, they need to memorize how each enemy reacts in battle, and which weapons are best for taking them out. If the enemies are particularly aggressive, players may want to take cover and restore their health. When dealing with strong but slow enemies, players may choose to use a rocket launcher or toss a few grenade out before attacking.
Furthermore, there are several vehicle segments that may give players trouble on their first attempt. If they can recall the locations of enemies and upcoming obstacles on subsequent tries, however, they may find it easier to proceed.
