Football Heroes is an arcade-style mobile football game where players punch and power their way to the end zone. Most rules don’t apply, as defenders are allowed utilize pass interference as a viable way of defending. Running backs and receivers can punch away defenders to keep the field clear of tacklers. But that’s how arcade football is played. Football Heroes is an exaggerated, more “violent” take on the game of football. Each player has up to four special abilities that can help them get out of trouble. The only problem is that the special attacks need to recharge, and should only be use in strategic situations. It can feel a little overwhelming at times, as there is so much punching and confusion surrounding the ball handler. However, the touch screen controls are very responsive, making it easy to compensate for the frenzied fighting. Players earn coins after each game, which can be used to upgrade their players, and buy items and powerups. There is also a multiplayer mode, which connects players that share the same wifi. Because of the mild cartoon violence, Football Heroes is recommended to children 8 and older.

Managing feelings, actions and behaviors.
It's every players initial compulsion to punch through lines of defense with special attacks. But it might not be the most effective -- especially since the attacks can only be used every so often. So if players' waste a special attack on first and ten, then they won't be able to use it on later downs when it matters most. Demonstrating the self-control necessary to refrain from using special moves is difficult, especially in the fast paced -- almost chaotic arcade style of play. Even tapping the screen too fast can cause players to dive or punch unnecessarily, which will ultimately result it a missed completion, tackle, or kick. Players should always be aware of the player they are controlling and the player who has the ball (which on offense is the same). It's easy to get lost in the sea of aggressive players, huddled around the ball carrier. It's instances like these where players on defense must resist the urge to dive at random, instead waiting to see where the ball is, and making an accurate and purposeful tackle.
Being efficient and aware of our use of time and effort.
Seldom will one meet a football coach who doesn't preach "clock management." If you maintain possession of the ball longer than the opponent, players' chances of winning the game significantly increase. The clock stops every time a player steps out of bounds an after every in completion. Other than that the 2 minute 15 second halves tick away very quickly. Especially if players are behind, they are urged to pass to the sidelines as to stop the clock. Running the ball drains the clock, so if players are ahead and confident in their running game, "running out the clock" will help guarantee a victory. Since each half is so short, players must make the most out of the time they spend on the field. Time management strategies like passing with less than 30 seconds left or running out of bounds with just seconds left to set up a game winning field goals restore some normalcy and strategy, keeping the game from becoming lost in it's arcade aesthetic.
