Progress to 100 is an app that uses the functions of your mobile device to create fun and interesting puzzles for you to solve. You are presented with various black and white screens with directions on them. By manipulating the various features of your mobile device, you solve the puzzle and move on to the next one. A cheerful but cheeky voice encourages you as you move through the puzzles. Some puzzles require engagement with the mobile device while others require a different approach such as putting your phone down or shutting it off completely.

The game mechanics use various functions of the phone such as the volume buttons, camera, microphone, touch screen, and motion sensor. All of these functions need to be utilized to make it through all 100 puzzles so the user needs to allow the game access to these functions on the phone.

Progress to 100 is available for purchase on iOS.

Progress to 100 helps kids practice and improve the following skills:

Flexibility: Adapting and adjusting to changing conditions and expectations.

The puzzles in Progress to 100 all require the player to think outside of the realm of traditional puzzles. To solve the puzzle, you need to use your mobile device as more than just a platform for playing the game; interacting with the phone itself is crucial to solving the puzzles. The player needs to use their flexibility skills to look at what the puzzle is asking and then come up with solutions that might not be the most obvious. They need to be willing to try new things to solve the puzzle, even if it seems like a ridiculous idea. For players who struggle with flexibility, playing through a few of the initial puzzles can help set the tone for the rest of the game and prepare the player for how the mechanics in the game work.

Self-Control: Managing our actions, feelings and behaviors.

Several puzzles require the user to access their self-control skills and not simply click on the screen or press several buttons. Some puzzles require the player to step back and manage their impulses in order to solve them. For example, one puzzle simply asks the player not to move their phone. It might seem like a trick but holding still really is the answer to this puzzle. Another puzzle requires good listening skills and the player needs to be able to keep their impulse to click anything on the screen in check. Players who struggle with self-control can use this game as a way to practice this skill in a low-stakes environment.
