Google Keep is an organization app where students can keep track of all different types of notes. Using the draw function students can sketch or write out reminders. The microphone function allows speech to text recognition while simultaneously recording the student’s voice. And the photo function allows the student to take a photo or use an existing one and attach notes to it.
Because of the amount of writing involved, younger students may need the assistance of a parent to use this app.
Organization: Arranging and coordinating materials in order to complete a task.
Google Keeps allows students to organize their thoughts in various forms. If the student struggles with organizing their thoughts, this app can help them put their ideas in order according to their strengths. Students have the option of speaking, sketching, writing, or typing their notes and then organizing within the app.
Planning: Developing a systematic approach for setting and achieving goals.
For students struggling with planning, a notes app can be the perfect tool for them to place all of their thoughts in one spot to plot out a course of action. Because Google Keep has various ways in which students can take notes, there is flexibility to how they can strengthen their planning skills.
