Oco is a one-touch puzzle game. The player must collect all the dots from a maze like circular puzzle using as few taps as possible. It is also important to complete the level as quickly as possible. There are daily levels, levels created by other players, and the chance to create your own levels. Finally, the game also offers a large number of achievements for the player to collect.
Oco has in-game ads and purchases. The ESRB rated it E for Everyone and LW4K stands by this rating.
Oco helps kids practice and improve the following skills:
Getting started and then maintaining attention and effort to tasks.
This game involves a lot of jumps and gaps. The game board also rotates, changing what is up and down as time moves forward. This means that the player must stay focused if they want to collect all their dots without falling off the pathway. If the player isn’t ignoring internal and external distractions, one blink of the eye can lead to needing to start the level over. If the player wants to keep moving forward in the game, they have to stay focused.
Being efficient and aware of our use of time and effort.
Keeping pace is also very important in this game. Ledges, holes, and jump pads all require perfect timing to hit (or miss). There is also the fact that the goal is to get done in the least amount of time possible. If the player messes up their timing on even one jump, they will fail to get “perfect timing” (and perfect taps too). This means they will have a harder time meeting the achievements and may even have trouble beating levels.
