Mighty Quest for Epic Loot is a fantasy game where the player fights enemies by tapping on their screen. There are adventure fights, where the player is attempting to make their way through levels of castles and the castles get increasingly more difficult. There are also trials and arena battles once the player’s level is high enough.
In addition to fighting, the player is collecting better loot and gear. They can do this through the adventures, trials, and battles. They can also do this by opening chests or completing daily missions. Finally, there is also the opportunity to merge or upgrade gear they already have by using the forge.
Mighty Quest for Epic Loot has in-app ads and purchases. The ESRB rated it T for Teen and LW4K stands by this rating.
Mighty Quest for Epic Loot helps kids practice and improve the following skills:
Getting started and then maintaining attention and effort to tasks.
Using focus skills in this game is important. Some paths and treasure chests are hidden. The enemies can move and even attack. And if the player wants to be able to dodge or counter-attack, then they have to time it just right. This means that the player needs to ignore internal and external distractions or they might miss something. There is also a time limit placed on each level if the player wants to earn all three crowns. This means the player also needs to begin the task of each level without procrastinating. It also means that the player will be practicing short-term focus, since the time limit is only three minutes in the early levels. And, finally, they have to be practicing shifting focus between enemies, chests, time limits, and other goals.
Being efficient and aware of our use of time and effort.
Keeping pace and estimating deadlines, two of the time management thinking skills, are also very important to this game. The player literally has a deadline for each adventure level. If they don’t keep that in mind, they can’t get all the crowns and will have to replay the level. They also have to keep pace with the enemies, who are able to move and attack on their own. If the player doesn’t watch how fast they move and how often they attack, the player will get hit and damaged. Take enough damage and the hero will die and the level will have to be redone.
