Evoking the sensibilities of early Mario and Donkey Kong classics, Kiba & Kumba Jungle Chaos is a run and jump side-scroller featuring a player controlled male and female monkey. Players must avoid enemy robot penguins in their quest to the end of the map. There are four different worlds, each consisting of four themed levels. In each level players must collect 99 bananas and three amulet coins. Collecting all of the respective items will earn the players 1 star. The third star is awarded is players beat the level in a timely fashion. A total of three stars can be earned on each level. Due to some minor cartoon violence, we recommend Kiba & Kumba Jungle Chaos to players 8 and older.
THIS GAME IS GOOD FOR KIDS WHO NEED HELP WITH:
Avoiding spikes and moving enemies requires players to practice patience and accuracy when they run or jump with their character. Players jump using the spacebar or the "up" directional arrow and move laterally with the directional keys. The controls are fairly sensitive, forcing players to make careful and precise jumps. Players must exercise self-control in a very literal sense when playing Kiba & Kumba Jungle Chaos, as jumps, rolls, sprints, and falls are dependent on how well players can manipulate their character on screen.
Bananas, amulets, obstacles, and enemies are rigidly placed in each level. No matter how many times players have to retry a level after losing all their health, the positions of the items they need to collect will never change. Players can memorize the positions of coins and bananas -- and more importantly, they can avoid falling off the screen if they are familiar with the layout of each map. Becoming familiar with these short levels is not difficult and will help players on their quest for all three stars.
