Just Dance 2021 is the latest iteration of the very popular Just Dance series. In this game, players are represented on the screen by an avatar as a song plays in the background. The player must look at the icons that roll across the screen to mimic the dance moves of their avatar and earn a star rating. The game also gives you feedback in real-time.
Just Dance 2021 has a multiplayer mode where players dance together or a co-op mode where all players work together to complete a choreography for one total score. The Just Dance 2021 app can also be downloaded to your mobile device and used while you dance to keep track of how well you execute the moves.
The game also features a Kids version where you can access 8 new songs and dance moves that are specifically designed for a younger audience.
Working Memory: Recalling and retaining information in our minds while working.
In order to successfully execute the dance moves, the player needs to be able to pay attention to the moves scrolling across the bottom of the screen and remember which color corresponds to their character. They also need to be able to remember certain moves that are repeated throughout the dance. Players who struggle with Working Memory can try simpler songs to start out and work their way up to more complicated songs with advanced choreography.
Flexibility: Adapting and adjusting to changing conditions and expectations.
Each song in Just Dance 2021 features a unique set of dance moves, so the player needs to be able to adapt and change their dance moves each time they start a new song. Students who struggle with flexibility should start with slower songs that allow for more time to adjust to movement change before working their way up to faster, more complex movements. If the player participates in the co-op mode of the game, they will also need to adapt to working with other dancers to earn a shared score.
