The game BinB requires players to place bombs around a maze-like map to defeat enemies and collect treasures. Players view each level from a top-down, 2D perspective, using bombs to blow up barriers and objects in an effort to find the hidden exit. Time is limited in each level, and once it runs out, monsters swarm the level. Thus, players have to act quickly to earn a high score and locate the exit in time. The game features cartoon violence in the form of small explosions against insects and other monsters, and a small amount of reading required, so the game comes recommended for kids ages 8 and up.
Being efficient and aware of our use of time and effort.
Each level of BinB will give players a finite amount of time to defeat all the enemies in the zone and collect as many treasures as they can. As the levels progress, players will be given comparatively less time to complete this task. To be effective at higher levels, players will have to learn to prioritize their actions. This means balancing their time between three efforts: defeating enemies, locating the exit and acquiring bomb power-ups. The various bomb power-ups spread throughout the level make it easier to break barriers and defeat enemies quickly, while systematically clearing enemies in each area of the map makes navigating the area easier. If they spend to much time doing either, however, they may not uncover the hidden exit in time.
