Kids who enjoy building with Legos will love to use Bricasso. Starting with one of the three difference sizes of blank canvas, your child can build whatever she dreams up using a variety of different shaped and colored building bricks. By rotating her design, she can make her creation in 3D space and set it against one of Bricasso‘s artistic backgrounds; when she’s satisfied with her work, she can then share it with friends and family on the web. Bricasso is a great way for your child to enjoy playing with building blocks on the go. Due to the app’s simple interface and ease of use, Bricasso is recommended for children ages 4 and up.

This App is good for kids who need help with:

Planning

Developing a systematic approach for setting and achieving goals. Improving short-term planning.

Using Bricasso without a plan is like making a building with no blueprints -- something is bound to go wrong. Like any time your child wants to embark on a project, Planning is essential in Bricasso, as it allows her to sequence out the steps needed to make the idea she has in her head become a reality. Does she want to make a house? What color or shape? How many floors? These are all questions she needs to think about before stepping into Bricasso. She'll literary need to begin with a foundation, and build incrementally from there. By encouraging her to approach her ideas with a plan, she'll learn how to take an idea, explore its possibilities, and think ahead on the best way to make her creation a reality, rather than becoming overwhelmed and distracted by a blank slate.

Self-Control

Developing a systematic approach for setting and achieving goals.

For better or worse, Bricasso lacks a feature to erase mistakes while making a creation. While this may seem like a detriment, it can be used to teach your child about being cautious, dealing with mistakes and coping with frustration. You can help your child see that making mistakes can be a learning experience, and that giving up or becoming angry will offer little help to the situation. By learning to be careful and taking the time to consider actions before making them, she can see the benefits of being thorough and meticulous. The more she learns from her mistakes, the less errors she'll have and the more she'll be able to deal with moments of frustration when they arise.
