Homey  helps kids practice and improve the following skills:

Time Management: Being efficient and aware of our use of time and effort. 

Family Calendar apps are a great way to model Time Management skills to your students. Students whose family uses the Homey app are able to see when their parents expect certain chores to be done. They can use this information to work on their time management skills, as they will need to balance chores with school work, clubs, and free time.

Planning: Developing a systematic approach for setting and achieving goals. 

Homey allows students to work on their planning skills by saving allowance money, setting goals for items they want, and putting money into their “savings” for future purchases. Students can also keep track of what chores they need to complete and plan around their schoolwork and hobbies to complete them. By seeing other family members plan out their own calendar, good Planning habits are also being modeled for all young people in the family.
