Done is a habit tracker app that helps you to build healthy habits and quit ones that are unhealthy. The user opens the app, clicks the plus button on the bottom of the screen to start adding habits to their list. The user types in the name of the habit and selects whether it is something they want to start or stop doing. They then select how many days a week they want to track this habit and how many times a day they want to do the activity or avoid doing it. For example, the user can track how many times they study their French vocabulary each week and also attempt to drink only one soda a week. The Done app keeps all these tasks on one color-coded page. When the user wants to log their habits for the day, they simply click on the item they want to track for.

After some time has passed, the user can then click on the analytics button at the bottom of the screen and see how they are progressing with their habits and whether or not they are on track with the goals they set for themselves.

Done is free to use for your first three habits. If the user wants to add more, they will need to purchase the app. It is available now on iOS.

Done helps kids practice and improve the following skills:

Planning: Developing a systematic approach for setting and achieving goals.

In order for a habit to be successfully developed, the user needs to practice it over and over again until it becomes second nature. Apps like Done can help set up this plan by making it easy for the user to simply click on what days of the week they will track their progress and for how many times within the day. For users who struggle with planning and goal setting, starting with one goal for the first week and tracking it once or twice is a good way to build up their planning skills before moving on to setting up multiple goals all at once.

Self-Control: Managing our actions, feelings and behaviors.

Once the user has identified a habit that they would like to break, Done can help them stay on target. Users who struggle with self-control often need a reminder or motivation to keep them on track. The app keeps track of the user’s daily and weekly progress, allowing them to see when they succeed and when they are falling behind where they wanted to be. For users who struggle with self-control, starting with a simple habit and setting realistic goals is a good way to build this skill up without overwhelming or frustrating the user.
