In Warfare 1917, players are tasked with leading squads of soldiers to victory in a campaign set during the First World War. Players must deploy soldiers differently depending on the specifics of each mission, and will unlock a variety of different units and upgrades as they progress. To be successful players will have to employ sound strategy and use their resources wisely to defeat troops and wear down the enemy’s morale. This game is recommended for children 13 and up, as there is some violence and wartime imagery.
Arranging and coordinating materials in order to complete a task.
Warfare 1917 helps your kid with his Organization skills in a number of ways. Although the game is relatively simple at the beginning, players will unlock different unit types with different strengths and weaknesses as they progress through the game. Particular units are thus suited to particular tasks. For example, infantry units are almost defenseless against entrenched opponents, while assault units are able to clear trenches quickly. Knowing this, a player might use an assault unit to weaken or clear a trench before moving his infantry forward, preserving troops that would otherwise have been lost. The same sort of structured thinking is necessary in other aspects of the game; players can only recruit a few squads at once, and there is a cool-down period after each squad is called into battle. A player needs to know what units are needed and when, depending on the ever changing demands specific to each battle.
Being efficient and aware of our use of time and effort.
While the game itself is not timed, the enemy army never stops trying to take the battlefield. Therefore, players need to be constantly aware of the forward movement of their opponent in order to avoid being overrun. Timing plays a significant role in the recruitment of soldiers as well; recruit the wrong type of unit for a situation and it might be too late before you have the option to recruit again.
