To control the Jet Ski in this game, players hold out the Wii Remote and Nunchuck in front of them, like they are holing handlebars, then tilt them side to side to steer. Both the A or B buttons can be used for gas, and occasionally players can twist the Wii remote for a speed boost. The goal of the game is to drive through the rings on the course as quickly as possible, scoring points based on the number of circles they pass through and the speed at which they do it. Players can also go head-to-head against one another to see who can collect more rings the fastest. The game features no violence or inappropriate content of any kind, but the motion controls may be a bit too difficult for children under the age of 7.

This Game is Good for Kids Who Need Help With:

Time Management

Being efficient and aware of our use of time and effort.

This game is good for kids who need help practicing their Time Management skills, as the point of the game is to pass through as many hoops as possible in the shortest amount of time. This doesn't mean simply blasting through the course at top speed. Players have to balance precision with speed, sometimes slowing down to make a sharp corner or in order to spot the next ring to pass through. Some hoops have smaller hoops inside of them as well, which players can pass through for more points. However, it may take extra time and precision to do so. A speed burst can periodically be triggered as well, but must be saved for opportune moments. Players who strike a good balance between pace and accuracy will do better in the game than those who do not.

Focus

Getting started and then maintaining attention and effort to tasks.

Navigating the vehicle through the rings requires precise steering. At higher levels, the races become more difficult with the addition of larger and more obstructive waves. Driving through the waves is often unavoidable and can alter players' paths drastically if driven through at an extreme angle. To avoid being diverted off course, players must drive perpendicularly into each wave. Staying focused on the next ring while remaining aware of upcoming waves requires constant attention. This may be difficult at first, but with persistent practice players can gradually build their skills.
