THIS APP IS GOOD FOR KIDS WHO NEED HELP WITH:

Flexibility

Adapting and adjusting to changing conditions and expectations.

Star Walk is a complex app with a variety of tools. While the basic features are very user friendly, to get the most out of this app your child will need to explore the available tools and know when to use them. Star Walk allows them to not only explore the universe but also catalogue and share information about various constellations from the present and the past. Users will also gain a new perspective of the world around them as they discover the history of various stars, planets, and satellites.

Focus

Getting started and then maintaining attention and effort to tasks.

Star Walk encourages your child to take the time to appreciate the smallest details of the universe. At a closer glance, your child will discover that what he thought was a star is actually an entire galaxy. With some extra effort, he will be able to memorize local constellations and find them in the sky even without the app. Because of the amount of constellations in Star Walk's database, he will need to Focus when he uses Star Walk in order to discover key information and details about whatever section of the galaxy he is discovering. Without Focus, the amount of information within Star Walk may become overwhelming.

Science

Outer space is a vast, infinitely expanding landscape, and as such can be difficult to comprehend for both children and adults alike. Star Walk helps bring the stars closer to home, as it places the enormous nature of the universe in the palm of your hand. The app can give your child a clearer perspective of stars, detailing their size, movement and locations, as well as revealing the various patterns that make up the multitude constellations. Star Walk will be a fantastic resource for any astronomy unit in his science classes and is useful for many projects and presentations he may have to create.
