Pinkfong Dino World is an entertainment app where your children can choose from multiple games and coloring books featuring dinosaurs. It is made by the South Korean educational entertainment company Pinkfong and features both games and songs all centering around colorful interpretations of dinosaurs.
The app features matching games, coloring activities, action games where you need to help your character jump, and games where you need to feed a hungry dinosaur. A music tab also features multiple dinosaur and paleontology-themed songs that can be downloaded to your device and played offline.
Pinkfong Dino Worlds is free to download but will require purchasing the app to access all of the games and songs. It is available now on Android and iOS.
Focus: Getting started and then maintaining attention and effort to tasks.
For children struggling with focusing skills, Pinkfong’s Dino World is a great way to get them to practice this skill in short bursts. Each game in the app is approximately one minute long, meaning that they can pay attention to the task at hand but only need to do so for a very short amount of time. Songs on the app are another great way to practice focusing because they are fun and catchy and not too long. For children who are ready to focus for longer increments of time, coloring activities in the app can take as long as the child wants, leading to greater concentration.
Flexibility: Trying something new.
There are many different games and songs that the user can choose from in Pinkfong’s Dino World so it gives young children the opportunity to practice trying some new things. For children who struggle with flexibility, this is a very low-stakes way to introduce them to trying new things in a fun and interactive way. There are matching-type games, coloring activities, guessing games, and games of discovery, so your child can select as many different types of activities as they want and see which ones they like the best.
