Focus Plant is a time management and focus app that allows you to grow cute anthropomorphic virtual plants and trees while helping you build a sensible media diet.

Students can set the app in one of two different ways: The Single Player Mode (where students can choose the time they want to focus from 5 minutes and up) and Pomodoro Mode (Four sets of 25 minute focus periods with small breaks in-between.) Set the timer for the desired time and once it finishes you will be rewarded with “rain” to water new plants. Level plants up with additional rain and employ various gardeners with different advantages. Explore new worlds that are unlocked as you continue to grow your plants through focusing.

Because some reading skills are needed for this app, younger students may need assistance from parents.

Focus Plant helps kids practice and improve the following skills:

Time Management: Being efficient and aware of our use of time and effort.

By setting a timer on the Focus Plant app, your child learns efficiency and time management strategies. When the timer goes off, the plant is grown and the task is done. This lets your child know that they can take a break before the next focus session.  You can change the time based on the activity and complete various focus achievements that will build your time management skills. The Single Player mode is ideal for students who are struggling with managing their time, while more experienced students will benefit from the Pomodoro mode.

Focus: Getting started and then maintaining attention and effort to tasks.

Focus Plant is an app that helps you set specific time goals to focus and use your phone less. Various challenges are also available during the app to help keep you motivated. For students who are struggling with Focus, the Single Player mode of Focus Plant allows them to start with a time limit as small as five minutes. They can then use the "rain" they collect to grow plants, seeing a tangible result of their focused time. As they get more experienced with focusing, the timer can be set for longer periods, allowing them to strengthen their skills and grow even more plants in-game.
