Find It is an item search game for toddlers and young children. The app opens and the user chooses from a variety of boxes on a shelf, each containing a search puzzle based on a theme such as Pirates, Babies, Toys, Foods, Sea Creatures, etc.
The user can then determine the difficulty of the search they want to play. They can choose between Easy, Normal, or Difficult. When they start the search, the item they need to find will be located in the lower left corner of the screen, along with the quantity they need to find.
At the end of the game, the user will see how long it took them to finish completing the search. The user is then awarded a number of stars ranging from 1 to 3 based on how quickly they were able to complete the search. The user can earn stars for each difficulty level within each puzzle category.
Find It is free to download but access to all of the puzzles requires the purchase of the full app. It is available now on iOS.
Focus: Blocking Out Distractions.
In order to locate the correct item and the correct quantity of that item, the user needs to block out all other distractions on the screen. The user needs to block out the meter that rises every time an object is found, and all the other items on the screen not currently needing to be found. Find It and other hidden object games are a great way to introduce a toddler or young child to practicing their focus skills. Start with the easiest level until your child seems to be finishing these levels with ease and then move on to normal or difficult settings to increase their need to focus.
Time Management: Working Under Pressure.
All of the levels in Find It are timed, meaning that the success the user has with a level is dependent on how quickly they can finish finding all of the objects. If the user takes too long they will not receive all three stars and will need to try again. This introduces your young child to the concept of working under pressure but in a way that is fun and not stressful. The timer does not appear on the screen while the child is working, but does show how long the level took after it is completed. Start with easy levels and wait until your child can comfortably get three stars on these before moving to more difficult searches.
