Users must complete all of the mini-games and puzzles on each new patient in order to proceed to the next. This process helps users practice the Focus thinking skill, as users must initiate a series of tasks, following through and fully completing each puzzle to obtain the larger goal of curing the patient. Users will also practice Focus when moving between the unique puzzles, mazes, or other challenges. Each new mini-game requires users to deduce and implement a solution with little to no instruction. For example, a user is presented with a number of unique animated shapes and a series of translucent outlines. Users must successfully deduce that solving the puzzle requires each shape to be correctly matched and placed with it's unique outline. Because each patient requires users to complete a series of unique tasks with little instruction, Toca Doctor is a great way to practice the Focus thinking skill.
