October is ADHD Awareness Month. As part of our mission at LearningWorks for Kids, we explore innovative strategies for using technologies to help children affected by ADHD and other learning difficulties. We identify video games and apps for children to play and learn from and help parents, educators, and clinicians choose and use these engaging technologies to improve executive functioning and the academic skills that are vital to the success of children with ADHD.
The internet is another powerful technology for helping children with ADHD. There is a vast array of information available to parents, educators, and clinicians. Unfortunately, it is easy to be overwhelmed by the the sheer multitude of websites and books about ADHD. We’ll make it easier by highlighting some of our favorite websites for ADHD, which have been selected for their reliable information and accessibility to parents, educators, and clinicians. We will explore websites that focus on a variety of topics pertinent to parents and educators of children with ADHD.
