Learn Math Facts is an app designed to help build up your math skills across different operations and levels of difficulty. When the user opens the app, they can choose between Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, a mix of all operations, Powers/Roots, Percentages, and Fractions/Decimals. They will then be asked whether they want to complete problems in Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced mode. Users can also specify whether they want to answer questions by writing on the screen using a stylus or their finger, or saying the answer out loud. After setting the practice timer for one, two, or three minutes, the user is ready to begin practicing.

At the end of the practice session, the user will find out how many answers they got correct in the time limit they selected. If they answered enough correctly, they can earn a badge from the list of accomplishments in the app.

Learn Math Facts requires purchasing the app but offers a free three day trial. Younger users will need adult assistance to set up their profile within the app.

Learn Math Facts helps kids practice and improve the following skills:

Working Memory: Recalling and retaining information in our minds while working.

Solving math problems is a great way for children to practice their working memory. The Learn Math Facts app offers the user two ways to answer the questions, either by writing on the screen or saying their answers out loud. The user needs to solve the problem in their head while writing or saying the answer. This gives them the opportunity to use their working memory in a low stakes environment and to build up the confidence to solve math problems quickly.

Time Management: Working under pressure.

Because there is a limited amount of time that the user has to solve the math problems, they need to get used to working under pressure to answer as many questions as they can correctly. For users who struggle with working under pressure, especially when it comes to solving math problems, this app is a great way to practice this skill in a low-stakes environment. Users should try setting the timer for one minute first and work their way up to three minutes. This will give them time to build up their confidence in solving the problems before doing it for a longer period of time.
