Instagram is a fun tool for sharing classic or quirky looking photos instantly. The app has many different filter effects to choose from, allowing users to make their photos more unique and interesting. Instagram archives pictures like a blog space, where users can see the collection of all their photos, and can also follow photo streams of other users. Instagram can be linked to Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook and other social networking accounts, as well, with settings that allow users to select exactly where to post each photo. Captured photos can be saved to the device rather than shared, and accounts cana be set to private as to not publish photos openly to the web. While the simple interface makes Instagram easy enough to use for ages 6 and up, we only recommend allowing young children to use the app in junction with an account managed by a parent or guardian.
Developing a systematic approach for setting and achieving goals. Improving short-term planning.
In order to create a good photo, it is important to take some time setting up the shot. This could involve positioning people or objects, adjusting the angle of the shot or getting the lighting just right. From there, users can manipulate the photos via filters to apply a wide range of effects to the image. By deciding what filter to use beforehand, users can set the shot up to compliment it. For example, if a user wants to shoot using a black and white filter, he or she should consider an old-timey motif.
Adapting and adjusting to changing conditions and expectations.
Instagram is all about expression. To get the most out of the app, users need to be flexible, tapping into their creativity and exploring the different filters and settings to manipulate their pictures in new ways. A rigid or repetitive style can result in an uninteresting photo stream, while more creative and interesting photos are more likely to garner users Instagram followers.
Understanding our own actions, thoughts and feelings.
Instagram posts saved images to a personal page much like a blog, where users can follow other Instagram users. Users will be responsible for managing their online image by knowing what is appropriate to post. They can also explore their personal interests through their own photography and the photos of others.
Recalling and retaining information in our mind while working. Improving forgetfulness.
For children who tend to struggle with remembering details, Instagram can provide a fun and unique way to keep track of what happened throughout the week. Users can snap picture straight from their phone into their photo stream, making it easy to them to revisit it for visual reminders.
