Today we are talking about one of the most relaxing games ever made. Dorfromantik is a city-building puzzle video game developed and published by Toukana Interactive. In the game, players need to place hexagonal tiles of various biomes to create an idyllic landscape. The player is given a set amount of tiles to start. Each biome is randomly generated as you play and needs to be placed near similar tiles. As you progress, you unlock missions that consist of a specific number of a biome that needs to be added to that tile. As you complete the missions, you gain more points, which in turn means more tiles to play within that session. Completing missions also awards the player with new pieces to use and new biomes to use. If you want an excellent relaxing game to play after school or work, definitely give Dorfromantik a try!
Players will get tons of practice using their organization skills in Dorfromantik. You gain more points the bigger your world becomes. While using the tiles to match biomes together, you will see that how you organize your tiles as you place them comes in handy. Forest biomes like connecting to other forest biomes and some of their quests require you to connect them to 50 or more other trees. Town or city biomes often have just houses on them, but some have rivers or trees or fields attached. As you progress in the game and unlock more biomes, you may find that organizing your tiles early on will help your world expand.
Players will also use their planning skills in Dorfromantik. There is no hiding it in this game, planning out where your forests will go, where you would like your towns and fields, rivers, and railroad tracks, will help you gain a higher score and unlock more buildings and tiles to use to create beautiful landscapes. Planning to have fields near your evergrowing town will aesthetically be pleasing, but also helpful. Some tiles that are generated have multiple biomes on them, and knowing where some may connect will help you get more points.
So which of these biomes is your favorite? Personally, I think the river and water biomes are beautiful. Let me know down below what you like!
