Just because you’re dead doesn’t mean that you can’t find love. Today we are talking about the visual novel game from beyond the grave, Speed Dating for Ghosts. In this game, you play yourself as a ghost who, for whatever reasons you want, is at a singles mixer for other ghosts. Upon starting the game, you choose between one of three rooms, where you will then meet three other single ghosts. You talk to each ghost for a few moments, switch off, and then begin the process again in the second round. At the end of both rounds, you decide which ghost you liked the best and then you go on a date together. The game is then over and you can start again and try a new room and a new ghost to go out with. The game has a graveyard function that saves all of your previous dates in case you want to go back and watch them again. Bonus dates are available for those who complete the main game. A little funny, a little scary, and a little sad, Speed Dating for Ghosts is for those of us who think that personal connections can continue on long after life is over.

Players can practice their self-awareness skills in this game because talking to ghosts is pretty much like talking to people in the real world. If you don’t listen to what they are saying or ask rude questions, they might not want to continue talking with you. Some ghosts will even be unavailable for dates if you make them angry enough. The player has to decide how they feel about being a ghost and the afterlife in general and use this to inform how they connect with the other characters in the game. Being aware of our own feelings and how we treat others are good skills in life and death apparently. This game can also help the user practice their flexibility skills. There are several different ghosts from all different walks of life, and the player can try something new by going on dates with as many of them as possible. The player may find that sometimes these dates are not even romantic in nature and that they have just found themselves a buddy to go scare people with.

Who is your favorite ghost in Speed Dating for Ghosts? Mine is definitely, without a doubt Dave the dog. If you were a ghost, what would you look like? Let us know in the comments below!
