It’s time to tee off because today we are talking about Mario Golf: Super Rush on the Nintendo Switch. This game was just recently released and is both fun and a great way to practice some executive functioning skills.
In the game, you play as one of several characters in the Mario world. Including classic choices like Mario and Luigi, there’s also Bowser Junior, Chargin’ Chuck, and even Pauline, who is appearing for the first time in a Mario Golf game. You can also bring your Mii over to the game to play! Each character has their own special abilities on the course so practice your flexibility and try several characters until you find the one you like the best.
If you’ve never played a Mario Golf game, let’s just say that it’s anything but quiet and organized. Standard golf can be played in the game, but for players who like more of a chaotic experience, Speed Golf is definitely worth a try. In this mode, you and up to three other players tee off at the exact same time and race through the course to see who can finish first. You are definitely going to need your Self-Control skills here because it can be pretty frustrating constantly competing with three other players who are trying to beat you to the last hole by using their special abilities. Battle Golf can also provide a chaos filled experience, so give that a shot as well (see what I did there?)
For players who want a more involved experience, try Adventure mode. Players create a Mii or bring one over to the game and play through a game where they are attending a country club and hoping to go Pro! Players will need to use their Focus skills and train in order to defeat the bosses and come out on top!
