Hey everyone, welcome to Learningworks for Kids Game Spotlights! This is a new series where we will be walking through some of your favorite games and talking about how playing them can help you get better at real-world skills!
Today we are going to be talking about Miitopia! This is a brand new game that just launched on Nintendo Switch. It is an RPG where you create your own Mii characters for your party as you go on adventures and defeat monsters.
In the game, The Dark Lord has begun stealing the faces of Mii’s across the land. He then transfers these faces onto monsters which need to be defeated. It’s up to you and your team to defeat these monsters and return the Miis’ faces back to them. As you defeat each monster, a counter showing the number of faces you have rescued increases, showing you just how far you have progressed in the game. Along the way, you will practice your self-awareness skills by deepening your relationships with your teammates. This allows you to unlock combinations or special abilities that you can only perform after building a strong relationship.
By defeating enemies, you earn gold coins and other items which can be used at inns to purchase equipment and boost your skills. Players need to be organized and use their money to upgrade weapons and to feed their Miis food strategically. Foods that are enjoyed by individual Miis will lead to better bonuses for future battles.
Well, that’s all the time we have for today but be sure to join us for the next Game Spotlight at learningworksforkids.com!
