LW4K’s Autism Awareness Month: Technology for Children on the Spectrum

April is Autism Awareness Month, and all month long we’ll be rolling out great content for families living with the unique gifts and challenges of autism spectrum disorders. We’ll show parents how technology can have a positive impact on their children’s lives and offer fun at-home projects, technology tips, and the best game and app recommendations for children with ASD.

Video Games and Apps for Autism Awareness Month

Throughout April we will be presenting a comprehensive series on video games and apps for children affected by autism. We will be introducing dozens of new popular games and apps that can help children with autism improve thinking skills such as flexibility, social awareness, and self-control. Because LearningWorks for Kids focuses on finding games and apps that children already play, you are sure to find something that your kids will love and learn from.

Minecraft and Autism

Many parents and teachers will be interested in our upcoming series on Minecraft that describes how this very popular game can improve real-world skills for children affected by autism.

Check back each week in April for our “Minecraft Monday” feature, which offers in-game Minecraft projects and exercises designed specifically for Autism Awareness Month.
